Properties
The pure product is white powder and the preparation is a dark - brown liquid. When stored at (54 ± 2)°C for 14 days, the decomposition rate is less than or equal to 5.0%. When placed in an ice - water solution at (0 ± 1)°C for 1 hour, there is no crystallization and no stratification. It is soluble in water, benzene, chloroform, methanol and ethanol, and slightly soluble in petroleum ether. It should not be mixed with alkaline substances.

Preparation Method
It exists in the roots of the leguminous plant Sophora flavescens and is also distributed in plants such as Sophora alopecuroides and Sophora sub - prostrata. Preparation process: plant raw materials - crushing - extraction - preparation through adjustment.
 
Uses
It is a botanical insecticide, mainly with contact - killing effect and also has stomach - poisoning effect. It has a wide insecticidal spectrum and has good control effects on pests such as imported cabbageworms, aphids and red spiders on a variety of crops.
 
Safety
The preparation is of low toxicity. The acute oral LD50 for rats is > 10000mg/kg and the acute dermal LD50 for rats is 10000mg/kg. The pure product has a relatively high toxicity to mammals. The acute intravenous LD50 for rats is 0.4mg/kg and the subcutaneous LD50 is 125mg/kg.
The aqueous solution is packaged in small polyethylene plastic bottles, with 80mL×10 bottles×15 boxes/carton. The packages should be stored in a cool, ventilated and dry warehouse. During storage and transportation, strict precautions should be taken against dampness and sunlight. They should not be mixed with food, seeds and feed. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and prevent inhalation through the mouth and nose.
